Ben F Baca

Ben F. Baca passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 85 after several months of declining health. He was surrounded by his beloved wife Margaret and their children. Ben was a man of many trades working hard all his life. In his younger days, he drove logging trucks; was a Spanish radio disc jockey; a MSGT in the NM National Guard and a BCSO Sheriff's Officer; later he became involved in his community which lead him to become a community economic development expert; a founder of the Urban Research Group; one of the first directors of The EOB CAP agencies in Albuquerque; and a housing development expert. He was known for his many accomplishments in his 65 + year career. More so, he was a man of deep faith and a committed Christian. He was an elder in the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church and delivered many sermons in English and Spanish. Above it all he was a committed family man married to Margaret Valdez Baca for nearly 70 years. His beautiful family is comprised of Rose Baca Quesada, husband Lawrence; Georgia Baca Padilla, husband George; Bennie Baca; Leroy Baca, wife Fran; Debi Baca; Debra Ann Baca Brooks, husband Michael. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Ben requested cremation with no services to follow. Our dearest husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend; we Thank you for the great legacy you leave behind. You will be forever in our hearts.
