Warner Robins, Ga. – Hector M. Tapia Velazquez passed away on Saturday August 25, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Sunday September 2, 2018 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A private family viewing will be held from 1:00PM-6:00PM on Friday August 31, 2018 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Hector was born August 20, 1945 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio Tapia and Juana Velazquez. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the Air Force and retiring after 37 years. Hector loved talking about politics, playing dominos, salsa dancing and remote-control cars. His passion was his family. He enjoyed every minute he could with his grandchildren. Hector was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who will be great missed. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jose’ Antonio and Emilio and 1 sister, Edna. Hector is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Irma Marquez , Rochester, NY; 1 son, Hector (Yomary) Tapia Marquez, Warner Robins, Ga.; 2 daughters, Leyda (Roldan) Tapia Roldan, Puerto Rico; Shirley (Angel) Tapia, Rocherster, NY.; 9 grandchildren, Val, Hector, Andrea, Paola, Pedro, Carlitos, Dathan, John, and Josh; 3 great grandchildren, Mykai, Kaiden and Cayson, 6 brothers, Eric, Harry, Nelson, Orland, Ricardo, and Wilfredo; 6 sisters, Marisel, Hilda, Lisette, carmen, Emilia and Zoraida.
