Warner Robins, GA- Lois Marie Nelson, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at First United Methodist Church. Reverend Josh Bizzell, Reverend Jimmy Asbell, and Reverend Missy Blumenthal will officiate. Following the service she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles Nelson, in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Nelson was born May 3, 1933, in Leslie, Ga., to the late Barney and Irene Kinard. She went to work for Houston County Board of Education, mainly for Lindsey Elementary School, where she retired after 30 years of service as the office secretary. Mrs. Nelson loved her church and was a faithful lifetime member of First United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Nelson; son, Barney C. Nelson; granddaughter, Jessica Nelson; brothers, Frank Kinard, James Kinard, and Virgil Kinard; and sister, Pauline Sims Her memory will forever be cherished by her 2 daughters, Nancy Ferguson (Phil) and Diane Tyler (Cliff); 6 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Frances Bailey and Ann Nutt; and 4 brothers, Thomas Kinard, Eugene Kinard, W.C. Kinard and Lee Kinard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church TV Ministry, 205 North Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Ga. 31093 Please sign the online guest book at www.heritagemfh.com.
