Robert S. Martinez

Robert S. Martinez, 64, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on April 27th surrounded by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Julianna (David), Rebecca and Melissa (Veronica); his mother Vivian Martinez; grandchildren, Joey, Alice and William and siblings Casey (Donna), Stephen, Donna (John), Virginia and Frank (Geralene), many nieces, nephews and close friends. He is preceeded in death by his fiance, Rose Rael, his father, Estanislado Martinez, brother-in-law, Gilbert and nephew Anthony. When Robert was little, he spent a lot of time in Marquez, NM with his family, where he rode horses and hung out with his cousins. As a young man, he worked at the mines in Grants until he got hurt. After, he was a truck driver for Budweiser and Noble Sysco and a proud member of the Teamsters, where he served as a union steward for several years. In recent years, he spent his time riding his motorcycles. Robert seemed to know everyone and everyone knew him. We will miss his jokes, his laughter and him giving everyone a hard time. A rosary will be held on May 25 at 6pm and a funeral mass on May 26 at 9am, both at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Pallbearers are Casey Martinez Sr., Steve Martinez, Frank Martinez and David Sanchez.
