Pamela S. Bohannon Winge

Pamela Sue Bohannon Winge, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday October 21, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 5:00PM – 6:00PM. Reverend Craig Hutto will officiate. Burial will be private for the family only. Mrs. Winge was born on August 18, 1946 in Fort Lauderdale, FL to the late Ralph and Virginia Bohannon. She was a part time Administrative Assistant for the United Federal Campaign. She was a faithful longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church as well as Hope Sunday School class for 27 years. She was the Rose of Delta Sigma Pi at the University of Florida. Mrs. Winge volunteered at the Base Thrift Shop, Family Support Centers at multiple Air Force Bases, and The American Red Cross. Pamela loved Sonic’s Diet Cherry Cokes and collecting Elephants. The love of her life and the apple of her eye was her grandson, Steven Moore. He is a senior at Berry College where he plays soccer. Mrs. Winge was his biggest fan. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Bohannon. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Lt. Col. Gaylord “Russ” Winge, Jr. USAF Ret.; 3 children, TSgt Gaylord “Rusty” Winge III, Ret. Air Force, South Korea; Lt. Col. Randolph “Randy” Winge (Angel), Las Vegas; Tami Winge, Warner Robins; grandson, Steven Moore, Rome, GA.; brother, Terry Bohannon, Ft. Lauderdale; 2 sister in laws, Diane Owen, Warsaw, New York; Lolly Webster, Southern Pines, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839. Mrs. Winge’s family would like to remind everyone to please give blood.
