Marie "Tina" E. Ortega Tesillo

Marie E. Ortega Tesillo (Tina) was born in Artesia, NM on September 29, 1946 to Felicita (Phyllis) Carrasco and Emilio Tesillo. She passed peacefully in her home in Tijeras, NM on May 28th 2021. Tina lived in Tijeras, NM for many years with her beloved Frank Moya who preceded her in April 2020. Marie had various nicknames Tina, Helen, Super Woman, but no matter what you knew her as you probably found her in a kitchen doing what she loved for those that she loved. Tina was a Cook, and a darn good one if you ask anyone around. Tina worked for various organizations throughout her life. She retired from the public service as a cook. Marie was a Member of Queen of heaven Parish in Albuquerque, NM. She taught us that life is not without struggle, but with the power of belief in God and the strength he gave her she would overcome many challenges in life. She survived breast cancer. Marie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Victor Tesillo, Enrique Carrasco (Kikki); her granddaughter, Amanda Deann Ortega and Great Grandson Landon Blu Ortega-Mason. She is survived by her; Daughter, Loretta Ortega Parks; son, Manuel Jr. Ortega; Grandchildren, Dylan Parks, Shelena Rayos Adreeanna Rayos; Justin Ortega, Casey Ortega, Henry Ortega, Mario Ortega, Christopher Ortega; Great Grandchildren, Sadie Parks, Jasmine Ortega, Alaize Ortega, and Andi Nicole Ortega. She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Tesillo, Rosalio Carrasco, David Carrasco; her sisters, Jenny Salinas, Vangie Gonzales, Elva Madrid, Peggy Meads, Yolanda Perez and Mary Valerio; And several nieces, nephews and friends. She loved her family and not a day will go by that we will forget her! She had a passion for life; she made sure that not one day passed that she would not express gratitude to God for her life and for her family.
