July 1st, 1963 - June 13th, 2021
On Sunday, June 13, 2021 Mark Mares loving father, brother and friend passed away at the age of 57. Mark was born on July 1, 1963 in Albuquerque NM. He served 10 years in the US Navy and worked as a Security Technician while raising his only son Michael. Mark was passionate about life with his infectious laugh and his exquisite culinary skills he was always the life of the party. He was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Marcella Chavez, his grandparents Felix and Olympia Chavez. He is survived by his son Michael, his sisters Bernadette Mares and Yvette Plasencia, his niece Theresa Plasencia and nephew's Rev. Justin Kasky and Eric Plasencia, uncles, aunts, and several cousins. A memorial service and rosary will be held July 1, 2021 at Riverside Mortuary Los Lunas 820 Main St NE, Los Lunas, NM 87031 from 9AM-11AM. The Funeral Service will follow at Santa Fe national Cemetery 501 N Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, NM 87501 at 3PM.
