Warner Robins, GA: Jimmy Thurman, 66, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Serenity Gate in Perry, GA. Services will be at 2:00 Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Thurman was born in Orlando, FL to the late James W. Thurman and Nadine Driver Thurman. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Kennedy and a brother, Billy Thurman. He was a retired security police officer from Robins Air Force Base and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Thurman was an avid fisherman and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his siblings Carol Outlaw of Bonaire, Wynell Larry Parks of Byron, Twana Ned Marlow of Warner Robins, Frank Thurman of Byron, Patty Tony Durham of Warner Robins, Debbie Blake Smith of Kathleen, sister-in-law JoAnn Thurman of Byron, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted, but those who wish may make a donation to the Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mr. Thurman. The family may be contacted at 420 Sandy Run Rd., Warner Robins, GA. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
