Keith Douglas Moore
April 6th, 1957 - August 13th, 2021
Keith Douglas Moore was born April 6, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas and was the son of LeRoy Moore and Gloria Hartfield Moore. He attended Booker T. Washington and Cuney Elementary Schools. He was one of the first Black students to attend Henry Wordsworth Longfellow Middle School. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1975. After graduating from high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University. Keithie, as he was affectionately called, was very charismatic, hilarious and did not take life too seriously. He had a passion for Rock music. As a teenager, he was a member of Jack and Jill of America and shared this passion with many club members, who he would have jam sessions with on the weekends. Throughout his teenage years he played the bass guitar. This enthusiasm for the guitar and Rock music lasted into his adulthood. Among some of his favorite musicians were Led Zepplin, Prince, Tom Petty, and The Eagles. He held numerous jobs. He was an art aficionado and worked at the Texas Art Gallery on the San Antonio River Walk. He worked as a Skycap at the San Antonio Airport. He also worked as a security guard in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His last job was that of an Uber driver, which suited his personality because he enjoyed interacting with people. He would also take his son to various activities within his community. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria Hartfield Moore, LeRoy Moore, sister Cybil Moore, and son Keith Berry. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Betty Peckumn Moore; his children Aarron Moore and Brandon Peckumn; Mom Lillian Hornsby Moore, his brothers, sisters and a host of relatives; Ronald & Irma Moore and Alexander; Glenn & Kim Davis, Glenn II, Nicole & Richard Spilman, Kendall Ashley, Celeste Olivia; Sheila Moore, Louis Henry, Kenneth Henry, Ralph and Michelle Henry, Ella Giles, Randal and Manal Henry and Gwen Ward.
