Warner Robins, GA: Lois D. Grantham, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Warner Robins with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Her grandson, Rev. Ross Lewis will officiate. Mrs. Grantham was born in Knoxville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Isaac Taylor and Beulah Langston Temple. She was also preceded in death by a sister Betty Jean Temple and a brother Rev. James “”Buster”” Temple. For many years, Mrs. Grantham was the director of the kindergarten program at Trinity United Methodist Church. When she left the kindergarten program, she worked as a secretary at Westside Elementary School until she retired from the Houston County Board of Education. Mrs. Grantham was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Warner Robins and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend Survivors include her husband, D.P. Grantham of Warner Robins, daughters Gloria Jerry McLaughlin of Oviedo, FL, Judy Tony Lewis of Warner Robins, son Gary D. Ginger Grantham of Warner Robins, grandchildren Michael Ramsey, Randy Ramsey, Rev. Ross Lewis, Jonathan Lewis, Nikki Pope, David Grantham, great grandchildren Faith Ramsey, Grant Ramsey and Tyler Pope. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church @ 1135 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice @ 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mrs. Grantham. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
