Richard ""Rick"" Allen Stanforth Sr.

Richard Allen Stanforth Sr. “Rick” 64 of Edgewood, NM passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2021 in Albuquerque, NM. Rick was born October 29, 1957 in West Helena, AR. Rick was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was passionate about playing music, computer games, shooting sports, and his two dogs. Rick was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. But most of all Rick truly loved his family and would be with them every opportunity. He was most proud of his 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and would tell everyone who would listen all about them. Rick is preceded in death by his father William “Rocky” Stanforth, Mother Georgia Stanforth, and sister Linda Sue Tenhet. He is survived by his son Rick Jr, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandsons Steven and Hunter, great grandson Benjamin, great granddaughter Winter. Daughter Amanda Gates and granddaughter Jaree Addams. Rick Sr. also left behind sisters Sherry Robertson and Shirley Price, brother Damon Stanforth, sister-in-Law Vicki, brother William “Rusty” Stanforth, sister-in-law Sandra, and sister Sherri Johnson, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews and their children. Funeral Service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe NM, with a Celebration of life in the spring. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Richard’s name to Folds of Honor New Mexico Chapter.
