Warner Robins: Charles T. Turner, Sr., 80, passed away on Thursday October 2, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Hillcrest Abbey West in Savannah. Rev. Bill Bagwell and Rev. Marty McLeod will officiate. Mr. Turner was born in Wilcox County to the late Vance and Nellie Ledford Turner. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his first wife June M. Turner, Son Charles T. Turner, Jr., and siblings Milton V. Turner, Robert L. Turner and Lucille T. Thigpen. Survivors include his wife Lois Ham Turner of Warner Robins. Children: Peggy L. Turner of Grayson and Linda T. Quinney of Asheville, NC. Step-daughter Jana Don McNeal of Warner Robins. Grandchildren: Brian Lisa Quinney of Guyton, Rebecca Mac McKnight of Sylva, NC, Bobby Archer and Melissa Adam Sanders of Warner Robins. Nine great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or the donor’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
