Kathleen, GA: James L. Rogers, Jr., 73, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with entombment in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Rogers was born in Dodge County, GA. He was the son of the late James L. Rogers, Sr. and Bessie Mae Bacon. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Couey. He was a retired competition advocate with Robins Air Force Base and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dodge County. Survivors include his wife, Rita P. Rogers of Kathleen, daughter, Carol Darryl Kelley of Kathleen, sister, Betty Junior Boutwell of Eastman, brother, Earl W. â??Redâ?쳌 Martha Rogers of Eastman, grandchildren, Trey E. Brantley, Clayton Brantley, great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Maddie and Gracie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church @ 1530 Airport Rd. Eastman, GA, 31023, in memory of Mr. Rogers. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
