Mary R Gurule

Passed away April 2, 2022, at home. Mary was born on June 30, 1929 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Elias S. Chavez and Orenas (Irene) Sanchez. She lived in Pajarito and was a lifelong member of Church of the Ascension. She was devoted to Our Lady and prayed the rosary every night before bed. She loved and cherished her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby; son, Onesimo; daughter, Rita; granddaughter, Jackyln; 2 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her children, Juanita Gurule, Irene Gurule (Todd), Dennis (Nora) Gurule, Lorraine (Charlie) Jinzo, Terry Gurule, Elizabeth (Peter) Duran; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A very special thank you to: Presbyterian Hospice, Adam, and Fabian for their compassionate care of our mother. To all those who visited and sent thoughts and prayers, Thank you. Pallbearers will be Dennis Gurule, David Chavez, Lorraine Jinzo, Ramon Jinzo, Quincy Madrigal and Todd Ray. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Jinzo, Peter Duran and Efren Torres.
