Laurel N. Packer Sunrise: September 19th, 1944 — Sunset: March 28th, 2022 Laurel was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Packer. She is survived by her daughter Heather, son Trenton, and granddaughter Kashmir. Laurel’s calling was to bring life into the world as a beloved obstetric nurse. She spent her career sharing her boundless compassion and love with others by assisting in the birthing process. Laurel was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Laurel was a fierce defender and protector of those she loved. She had a quick smile, laughed easily, and enjoyed her two glasses of wine at dinner, which Jack Bell, Sandra Lopez, Sherrie Choy, and numerous other friends got to share. Laurel’s Celebration of Life service will be held at: Powdrell’s Barbeque House 5209 4th Street NW Albuquerque, NM 87107 April 22nd, 2022 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM An Ash Scattering Service may be held at a later date. The family sends thanks and love to all that shared time with Laurel and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to local humane centers.
