Mary Louise Jennings

On Monday, May 30, 2022, Mary L. Jennings, loving wife and Mother of three sons, passed away at age 81. Mary was born on September 27, 1940 in Deming and raised in Las Cruces, NM to Isaac and Gregoria Escarsiga. She attended New Mexico State University for her freshman year, 1959-1960. On September 16, 1960, she married William Jerry Jennings. While serving in the U.S. Navy they raised three sons, Michael, Greg and Ron. Mary was a very social person who literally made friends around the World and across the United States. She was always ready to help those in need and volunteered her time at the Fleet Reserve Association, as well as, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish. She was also very proud of retiring from SEARS starting as a Collections Representative and ending as a Sales Executive. She will always be remembered for her service to others. Mary was preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry, and her grandson, Christopher. She is survived by her three sons, Michael & wife, Mary, Greg & wife Sherry, and Ron, her sister Vera Valadez, several grandchildren; Alex, Katie, Brandi & husband, Axel, Andrew, Connor and one great grandson, Grayson. A Rosary will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Our Lady of the Assumption church located at Lomas & Tennessee Streets NE, Albuquerque, NM, starting at 10:30am, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Donations on behalf of Mary, and in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the American Heart Association.
