Vicky Hirschfeld

Vicky Sue Hirschfeld, 72, of Milliken, died Friday October 12, 2012 after a long battle with ALS. She was born February 22, 1940 in Lyons , Colorado to Lawrence and Maude (Howard) Purdue. On June 25, 1998 she married William Drieth in Longmont, CO.Vicky loved being outdoors and especially in the mountains. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling, especially to Arizona. She also enjoyed spending time with her family who was the main joy in her life. Vicky was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Longmont.She is survived by her husband Bill, sons, Doug (Sandy) of Longmont, Larry (Rhonda) of Lyons, and David (Teri) of Lyons, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Berend, and Bonnie Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard Walker, Gene Perdue, and Leo Perdue., and sisters, Helen Samuelson and Lynn Bradshaw.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1221 17th Ave., Longmont, CO, with Pastor Michael Traudt officiating.
