Donna Michelle Hinds

Donna Michelle Hinds, 61, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at Presbyterian Rust Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Donna was born on March 15th, 1961, in Carlsbad, NM to Dale and Judith Housley. In May of 1983 she married her high school sweetheart Kirk Hinds. They had two children together, Kelsey and Zachary. Donna loved the medical field and worked as a respiratory therapist early in her career in Carlsbad, NM and in San Diego, CA. She later moved to Edgewood, NM and worked as a medical assistant. After going to nursing school she became an RN and most recently worked in the spinal cord injury unit at the VA Hospital. Donna was a very fun-loving, energetic, and charismatic person. Everyone could count on her for her honesty and integrity. She was an exceptional nurse and loved by her patients, co-workers, and friends. Donna was incredibly loving and enjoyed spending time with her large family. Donna was preceded in death by her mother Judith Housley, stepmother Linda Housley, stepbrother Scott Arrington, grandmother Donna Best, and grandfather Clyde Best. Donna is survived by her husband Kirk Hinds of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Kelsey Moore (Trevor) of Albuquerque, NM, granddaughters Natalie and Aubrey Johnson of Albuquerque, NM, son Zachary Hinds of San Jose, CA, father Dale Housley of Albuquerque, NM, mother and father in-law Dianne and Allan Hinds of Rio Rancho, NM, sisters Kelly Madrid (Bruno) of Edgewood, NM and Lori Colera (Michael) of San Antonio, TX, brother Michael Housley (Susan) of Edgewood, NM, step-sister Debbie Arrington of Albuquerque, NM, aunt Janice Wright (John) of Loving, NM, uncle John Emmett (Barbara) of Dallas, TX, as well as multiple cousins, nieces, nephews. Donna’s memorial will take place on Thursday September 8th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home located at 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
