Warner Robins, GA- Shirley Luther Williams, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 3, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at 3:00PM in Cannonville Baptist Church Cemetery in Abbeville, GA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Shirley was born on September 2, 1934 in Abbeville Georgia to the late John and Emma Wilcox. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, loved to dance with her husband Wendell. Shirley loved cooking and taking care of her family. She was well known for her Strawberry Cakes and Lemon Cheese Cakes. Shirley was full of life, flamboyant, loved to laugh and brought a smile to everyone she met. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and Aunt who will be greatly missed. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Raymond Luther; 3 sisters, Reba McDougald, Oppie Roxy, Betty Morrow and 4 brothers, M.B. Wilcox, Sammie Wilcox, LeRoy Wilcox, and Talmadge Wilcox. Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 24 years, Wendell Williams; 2 sons, Ray Luther (Suzanne), John Luther (Susan); stepson, Jimmy Williams (Denise) all of Warner Robins; 6 grandchildren, Christian Bell, Jenny Howard, Candice Landers, Susann Luther, Austin Williams, Trent Williams; and 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
