Surrounded by his loving family, Michael “Mike” Rosales peacefully passed away on August 12, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and incredible memories. Born in 1955, Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor and generosity. Mike was preceded in death by his two brothers, Stan “Leroy” and Daniel. He is survived by his two loving sisters, Elizabeth “Sandy” Rosales and Sylvia Lovato, who were constants in his life, providing love and support through the years. In January of 1974, Mike joined hands in marriage with his beloved wife, Berlinda, creating a bond that only grew stronger with time. Their marriage was a model of devotion and partnership that was inspiring to all who knew them. Mike was also a very proud father of two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Daveena, and one son, Michael. He also found joy and humor in his role as a father-in-law to Anthony, Brian, and Erica. The family grew over time to include eight grandchildren, each very important to him: Ashley, Anthony Jr. “Peanut”, Orlando, Jayci, Landon, Ella, Edith, and Eliza. He is also preceded in death by one of his granddaughters, Andrea, who will now have a loving grandfather to look over her. He loved and treasured every second that he spent with them, absolutely cherishing his role as a grandfather. As a skilled machinist by trade, Mike’s work ethic and attention to detail were unmatched. He was a craftsman who was always very neat, organized, and great with his hands. We always joked that if you wanted an entire house painted without a drop of paint hitting the floor, Mike was your guy; no tape or drop cloth needed. His true passion, however, lay in being a “car guy.” The garage was his sanctuary, a place where he could turn old cars into street rods. He built beautiful cars and found life-long friendships in the street rod community. He loved to attend car shows and shoot the breeze with anyone and everyone. Outside of his hobbies, Mike’s heart belonged to his family. He was truly a selfless and compassionate man who was ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. His sense of humor was appreciated by all. Whether he was playing a practical joke or making a witty comment, he could always be relied upon to lighten the mood and make people laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, generosity, and laughter will live on through his family. Although we have to say goodbye to an awesome husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we will celebrate a life well-lived. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on Thursday, August 24, at 11:00am at Calvary Church on Osuna. Friends and family are invited to come share memories and honor the life of a great, generous man.
