Mark E. Johnston (1935 – 2024) Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3 at the age of 88. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 5, 1935 in Crescent, OK and moved to Albuquerque when he was 5. In 1960, he married Norma, and together they raised three children. He is a Navy Veteran and displayed the American Flag proudly. He was a talented carpenter and roofer. He loved camping, working with animals, painting, wood working, and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by son Paul Doerr. He is survived by his wife Norma of 63 years, Children: Mark Doerr (Paula), Mark Johnston, Jr. (Joyce), Natalie Woods (David), Valerie Contreras (Manuel), Grandchildren: Clayton Woods (Christy), Weston Woods (Courtney), Amber Contreras, Jacob Contreras, Natalie Contreras, Great-Grandchildren: Braelyn, Blakely, Brenham, Madelyn, Eli. Services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 15 at Riverside Funeral Home (225 San Mateo Blvd, NE in Albuquerque)
