Elizabeth M. Garcia, 82, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Jan 25, 2024 in Albuquerque following an extended battle with cancer. Elizabeth was a loving and caring friend, wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She was very appreciative of the love, care and support she received from special family members, friends and care-givers who helped her through a difficult battle. She never lost faith in God and showed tremendous courage and strength throughout her illness. She will be sorely missed. She retired as a Catalog Supervisor from JC Penny and spent much of her life devoted to her grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was always there to provide support. She lived her life as a humble and private person but if you knew her she could make your day with her subtle wit and humor. She was preceded in death by her son: Erminio "Ermie" Garcia Jr.; husband: Ermino Garcia Sr.; mother: Elena Gallegos-Garner, grandparents: Tomas and Carolina V. Gallegos; great grandparents: Antonio and Clarita Stines Valdez; brothers: Mike Garner and Frankie Gallegos; sisters: Sarah Steinberg and Carrie Hernandez(Mike); mother and father-in-law: Manuel and Bersabe Garcia; brothers in-law: Cecilio Lucero Jr., Johnny Montono and Gerald Lujan Sr. She is survived by her daughter: Diane Garcia; son: Lawrence Garcia(Brenda) and children: Lawrence Jr., Lauren and Esteban; son: Kenneth Garcia(Leona) and children: Brandon(Lily), Kendall(Jessie) and Jordan; grand-daughter: Evelyn Nicole Garcia-Duran (Ernesto); great grand-children: Jayda, Nathan and Cameron; Brothers and Sisters: Robert Gallegos(Angie), Freddie Gallegos(Vita), Charlie Gallegos(Patricia), Dorothy Lujan, Joann Padilla, Cathy Montano(Joe), Nancy Montano, and Amalia Gallegos; brothers and sisters in law: Christine Garner, Eloisa Lucero, Manual Garcia(Sylvia), and Esther Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends. Per her wishes, no funeral will be held. Elizabeth's ashes will be buried during a small informal celebration of life, to take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Riverside Funeral Home at www.riversidefunerals.com
