Barbara Lynn Stone

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, Barbara Lynn Stone, loving mom of three children and two stepsons passed away at age 82. On this day, she went home to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Barbara Lynn Stone was born on November 9,1941 in Albuquerque, NM to Oliver and Louise Lau. She received her GED and worked as a customer service representative for 30 + years in the paper industry in Albuquerque. Barbara had a passion for her family and work. She was a kind, loving, and very generous person who loved all those around her. She raised her children in a safe, loving, caring environment and always took her children to church. She was a women-of-godly-character. She loved to sing to gospel hymns and country music. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Barbara loved animals and would feed all the stray cats in the neighborhood. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing board games with her family. Also, in her younger years, she loved to travel. She enjoyed her work and loved all her customers. Her customers described her as a person they could count on and trust. Barbara will be missed much, but until we meet again in heaven for all eternity. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Oliver, and her mother Louise, her sisters Mary and Dorothy. She is survived by her three children Lynn, Denny, and Burdetta and two stepsons David and Robert, and two sisters Lorrie and Karen, and 11 grandchildren: Barry, Bradley, and Ashley Hutchison; Autumn, Edward, Joshua, and Alyssa Fontaine; Steven and Uriah Martinez, Mariah Stone and Robert Caleb Stone and 5 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Aiden, and Brandon Hutchison and Joseph and Samuel Hutchison. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 2-4pm at Riverside Funeral Home. The family would like to invite you to join us for a reception and dinner at 5pm located at Hope Valley Church, 6080 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque.
