Shannon Glover
November 4th, 1992 - March 2nd, 2021
Byron, Georgia – Shannon Nicole Glover, 28, made her transition on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. The family has requested that the service remain private and reserved for family only. Shannon Nicole Glover was born on November 4, 1992 in Warner Robins, Georgia to Rhonda Stewart and the late Roger Rydell Glover. Shannon had a lively childhood and was a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School. Upon graduating, Shannon set out to conquer her goals and make her dreams her reality. Known to many as “Sassy Shannon,” Shannon was very outspoken and had no problem voicing her opinions to those around her. She was also a person that you could rely on to be a listening ear ,if you were prepared for her to add in her “two cents” afterwards. Although opinionated, Shannon’s willingness to help others along with her outgoing personality were simply unmatched. Shannon was a hard worker and continued to provide for her family even after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in July of 2012. She spent several years in retail and loved engaging with the public. Shannon carried a smile that would light up a room upon entry and exuded confidence! Even in her illness, she lived her life to the fullest and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She wanted the best for those she loved, and Shannon’s most prized possession was her son, Devone. She and Devone had a bond like no other and every moment shared was priceless. Often the duo seemed more like best friends than mother and son. Shannon spoiled Devone every opportunity she could and as she would say, “loved him to the moon and back!” Shannon will forever be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and devoted friend. In addition to her father, Roger Rydell Glover; Grandfathers, Mathis Stewart, and Roger Little, precede Shannon in death. Left to cherish her life and memory is her beloved Son, Devone Harper, Jr.; Mother, Rhonda Stewart (Maurice Rogers); Grandmothers, Mary Stewart, Daisy Bell Davis; Siblings, Romona Johnson, Jerome Johnson, Jr., Roger Sean Glover (Brittany), Teryn Nelson, Tyree Glover; Uncles, Darrell Stewart, Charlie Glover; Aunts, Vallie Mucker, Gloria Glover, and Patricia Pitts, Nieces; Zoe Williams, Lyrici Nelson, Charleigh Glover, Riylahn Nelson, Nephews; Carter Glover, Landon Nelson, Roger Sean Glover Jr., and a host of extended family members and friends.
