Shirley Edwards Died Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at Margery House Memory Care in McMinnville, Oregon. Shirley was the daughter of Paul Monroe and Mary-Etta Georgia (Lacy) Floyd, she was born in Cove, Arkansas on October 18, 1935. Shirley's father died when she was very young, and her Mother brought her, and siblings to Oregon. First settling in Idanha then later on to Colton. Where she later met and married her husband Donald Leroy Edwards on October 7th, 1951. They celebrated their Blue Sapphire Anniversary of 65 years together at Vinyard Heights Assisted Living a few weeks before Don's passing. They were the parents of Debra, Paul and Kerry. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don Edwards; son Paul Edwards; brothers, Ulysses "Buck" (Luella), Otis (Dona), Curtis (Leona), Thomas, Joseph, Paul Jr. (Carol Harden); her sisters, America "Jacks" (Marion Towry), Mary, Nellie (Dean Bissell), and Nodeen; brothers-in-law John Rone, George Edwards, William Edwards, Robert Edwards, Douglas Hoffman and Curtis Schluckaier; and sisterin- law Alice Wiser. Shirley is survived by daughter Debra Shapland (James "J.R." Ramsey); son Kerry (Lisa); grandchildren Angela Sandquist, Michelle Salvetti;, Kristine Hodgkinson (Patrick Taylor), Hailey Spring (Donald Brown), Donavon Shapland (Daisha Hale), Taylor Shapland, D.J. Shapland, Dustin Spring (Vanessa Travis), Ashley Canales (Zachary Shrout) and Betsey (Casey Ranger); great-grandchildren Max, McKenna, Blayke, Gabriel, Angel, Molly, Brooklynn, Adam, Jordyn, Sam, Landon, Cruz, Kiba, Blake, Ben, Maggie and Piper; sister Marie Rone; Sisters-in-law Winnie Floyd, Wilma (Norman James) and Gerta Edwards; brothers-in-law Bill Wiser, John Ream, Bill Ream and Fred Ream Jr. as well and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation viewing will be at the Molalla Chapel, from 9am-10am Saturday, March 14, 2020. Funeral will be held at the Colton Lutheran Church, in Colton at 11am by Pastor Carl Hansen, reception following.
