George William Everett, age 88, passed away December 4th, 2021. A funeral service will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, December 8th, 2021 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Charlie Bibb and Rev. Norman Brockway officiating. A graveside service will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Everett was born in Preston, GA to the late Guy Everett, Sr., and Theresa Pinkard Everett. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lillian Johnson Everett; son in law, Terry O’Neal; and his five brothers and sisters. George and Lillian raised their family in Hazlehurst, GA, where he was Plant Manager at Cook and Company. He later joined Robins Air Force Base and retired after 39 years of service. Mr. Everett was a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and Treasurer. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, gardening, antiques and was an avid Braves fan. His most valuable time was spent with the children and grandchildren he loved unconditionally. Left to cherish his memory is daughter, Sonja Everett O’Neal of Macon, GA; son Steve (Angie) Everett of Hazlehurst, GA; four grandchildren, Misti Grinder, Matt Everett, Cody Everett, Maeghan Everett; three great grandchildren, Harmoni Everett, Sydney Everett, Davina Everett; and his beloved fur baby, Zailey.
