Patsy Elizabeth Vigil – July 17, 1954 – December 18, 2021 Patsy Elizabeth Vigil of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday, December 18, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Patsy was born on July 17, 1954 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Santiago and Lucinda Quintana. She was adopted by Nicacio and Trinidad Tapia. Nicacio was the brother to Lucinda Quintana. Patsy was married to Ramon R. Vigil of Santa Fe for 49 loving years. She was blessed with three children and their spouses and is survived by five grandchildren. She is survived by her son Raymond P. Vigil and husband Cliff C. Serrano, Julie R. Romero and husband Orlando B. Romero, and Lisa M. Vigil-Gomez and husband Ben J. Gomez. She is survived by her grandchildren Ramon J. Vigil, Joshua R. Serrano-Vigil, Valerie P. Romero, Ashley S. Gomez, and Lindsey S. Gomez. Patsy is also survived by her adoptive mother Trinidad Tapia, brother Joe Tapia and wife Pauline, brother Jimmy Quintana and wife Josie, sister Mary Quintana, sister Josie Quintana, sister Francis Quintana, sister Velma Montoya, brother Eddie Quintana, sister Irene Archuleta and husband Chris, brother Billy Quintana and wife Kim, and many nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her biological parents Santiago and Lucinda Quintana, adoptive father Nicacio Tapia, brother Atlano (Lito) Quintana, Nephew Joseph Tapia, two Rainbow babies, and three Rainbow grandbabies. Patsy was a remarkable woman, and an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She had such a warm and caring heart for everyone regardless of what she was going through. Always remember Patsy for her beautiful smile, charming green eyes, and warm welcoming arms. She was a devout Christian and it was the pilar of her faith. She walked side-by-side with the Lord in good times and in bad times. Services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 Harvest Baptist Church 2103 Yucca Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505 Services to be conducted by: Pastor Jim Velasquez Pastor Chris Rogers will open in prayer and close in prayer Grandchildren will be signing as well as other brother and sisters in Christ. Following the services, we will be spreading Patsy’s ashes at the Temple Baptist Wilderness Camp in San Geranimo, weather permitting. Flowers and donations should be sent to Harvest Baptist Church, 2103 Yucca St. Santa Fe, NM 87505 on the day and time of Patsy’s service.
