Basil S Moreno
August 3rd, 1961 - December 24th, 2021
Basil Stephen Moreno, age 60, was born in Denver, Colorado on August 3rd, 1961 Basil Moreno was called home by our Heavenly Father on 12/24/2021; his taking was sudden and unexpected. Our family has been left with a big hole that is and will always be unable to fill, however we know now that our dear lord needed him more and for that we will miss him dearly. We can rest assure that he is smiling, released of any pain, and will forever be apart of our families light source; for he will forever shine upon us. Basil was born and raised in Denver Colorado, where he played for the Manuel High school Thunderbolts Football team and graduated. Basil was raised in a big family, he had 4 sisters and 6 brothers, where he was the youngest of the boys, a lot to look up too! Basil being the youngest boy, watched and learned how to cook, which he loved doing and did it well! He then went on to have 5 children of his own, and from there his journey began. Over the years, life was life, life was tough and yet full of laughter and tricks, which he loved to play on others! Basil was a huge football fan, his heart started out Black and Silver, RAIDERS! Then his passion fell and ended on Blue and Silver, COWBOYS! His Cowboy motorcycle was his pride and joy. He took pride in all he accomplished and completed! He always stood strong and faithful, which led to many great things along his journey. Basil was family to and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Ghost Church, an active member of the organization Heart of Albuquerque, and a part of the Albuquerque Recovery Community. He loved his extended families and always took pride in who they were and who he was when surrounded by their love and support. He will always and forever be missed.
