Jose Leandro Padilla age 93, born March 1, 1930 to Esequiel and Adela Padilla in Cuba, NM, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Rebecca Padilla; Parents, Esequiel and Adela Padilla; Brother, Carlos L. Padilla, Sisters: Delcida Montoya, Epimenia Romero, Nancy Herrera, and Rose Lucero; and two grandchildren Becky Padilla and Kaidon Reiber. He is survived by his children: Jerome Padilla (Theresa), Shirley Morales (David), Ricky Padilla (Jean), Gloria Roybal (James), Debbie Reiber (Mark) and Derek Padilla (Leslie); 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren; Sister Lena Lucero, Sister-in-law Mary Padilla and Brother-in-law Adan Herrera. Serving the family as pallbearers are; Brian Morales, Roy Gonzales, Carlos Madrid, Zechariah Padilla, Gary Sandoval, and Aaron Massey. Honorary pallbearers are; Eustacio Casaus, Bobby Gurule, Jeffrey Gurule and Rick Padilla. Services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, New Mexico. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM and interment at Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall. We would like to thank the staff of Roadrunner Hospice, especially Jaime, his nurse, for the wonderful care provided to our Dad and Riverside Funeral Home Santa Fe staff
