On Thursday, August 3, 2023, Charles “Mike” Joiner, Jr. passed peacefully from this life to the next after a decade-long battle with Parkinson’s disease. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mike will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 7:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Morton, Dr. Jim Perdue, and Pastor Jimmy Moneypenny officiating. A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. Born in Vienna, Ga. on July 22, 1953, Mike was a 1971 graduate of Warner Robins High School who retired from Robins Air Force Base after 40 years of service. Mike was a man of integrity and loved his family above everything else. He enjoyed traveling, music, motorsports and being outdoors, particularly canoeing and SCUBA. An avid reader and lifelong learner, Mike was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church. While he faced troubles with his Parkinsons he served the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength as the Lord commanded. There waiting for him at the gates of heaven with open arms were his beloved parents, Charles, and Louvenia (Adams) Joiner. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kandy Stevens Joiner, his daughters Megan (Patrick) Allen and Mackenzie (Allen) Stroupe and his grandson, Gabriel. He is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.
