Amadita Apodaca Brookey

Amadita Apodaca Brookey began her eternal life on Sunday, September 22, 2013 after a recent diagnosis of cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Trujillo Apodaca and mother Piedad Sedillo Apodaca. Amadita was born November 16, 1958 in Truth or Consequences NM love was abundantly received and given throughout her life. She was raised among her six charming, sarcastic and generous siblings, David Apodaca (deceased), Becky Rodriguez, Marcus Apodaca, Michael Apodaca, Maria Concepion Apodaca and Robert Vincent Apodaca, achieving many of life's milestones with them and her sister at heart, Ester Early. Amadita enjoyed raising two daughters, Marie Brookey and Michelle Brookey, and a new son-in-law, Michael Geffel, who will always remember her beautiful smile and be thankful for her life lessons for years to come. Through the years, she spoiled many nieces, nephews, god children and basically any child in her vicinity, many of which her loss is like that of a second mother. Although her life may have ended too soon for the world she left behind, Amadita's of compassion, creativity, humor and meticulous organization will continue to make this world a better place. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM at the Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Lee Belle Johnson Recreation Center, located at 301 S.Foch, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901.
