Andres C Barreras

Barreras, Andres C., age 80, born on October 10, 1930 and a resident of Bosque Farms, NM passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012. Mr. Barreras is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Liz Barreras; children, Andrew Barreras, Anthony Barreras, Eugene Barreras, and Juliana Barreras-Apodaca; nine grandchildren, Rian Barreras, Kalei Barreras, Andrie Barreras, Aleea Barreras, Keira Barreras, Juliane Perez-Lourido, Christie Apodaca, Daniel Apodaca, and Monique Miscusi; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marian Martinez and husband, Miguel, Alice Saavedra and husband, Isidro, Theresa Aranda and husband, Joe; brother, Lawrence Barreras; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Mr. Barreras was preceded in death by his son, Leonard Barreras. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE, with Mass of Christian Burial to celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Barreras, Anthony Barreras, Eugene Barreras, Juliana Perez-Lourido, Daniel Apodaca, and Buster Miscusi. Mr. Barreras was a veteran of two wars having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and as a Sea bee in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
