Leo Marcus Schnack
April 27th, 1925 - January 27th, 2016
Leo passed away peacefully surrounded by family January 27, 2016 at age 90. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 30, 11am at St. James Catholic Church in Molalla. Leo was born April 27, 1925 on the family farm in Molalla, Oregon, the youngest child of Jacob and Clara Schnack. Leo attended Gladtidings School for eight years, graduated from Molalla High School in 1943, then joined his father and brother farming. He married Jennie Gerkman March 31, 1951. He was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church, a community he was a founding member of. Leo lived on the farm his entire life until 2012 when he moved to Rackleff Place in Canby, Oregon. Leo was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Jennie Schnack, and siblings Elizabeth Feustel, Adolph Schnack, Doris Geschwill, Regina Etzel, and Rudolph Schnack. Leo is survived by two daughters Nancy Jean Hill (David Hill) of Oregon City, Jeanie Marie Schuldt (Brad Schuldt) of Wilsonville, and four grandchildren: Cheryl Hill, Deborah Hill, Christopher Schuldt, and Kimberly Schuldt.
