Kenneth James Mayeux Sr.

Kenneth James Mayeux Sr, 69, of Divide Colorado passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 2, 2023. Kenny was born on December 8, 1953 in New Orleans Louisiana. After graduating from Chalmette High School, Kenny and his wife Jo Anne Sabathe of 51 years made a home in Chalmette then later in Colorado Springs with their two sons Kenny Jr and Scott. Kenny was a dedicated family man, business owner and proud union member. Kenny was a devoted Christian man of faith dedicating countless hours of service to the Royal Rangers, Prison Ministry, and as a little league coach. Kenny spent many childhood and early adult years hunting and fishing, and later in life became a master cultivator. Kenny was preceded in death by parents Levy and Gertrude Mayeux; and brothers Levy Jr and Wayne. Kenny is survived by his loving wife Jo Anne; sons Kenny Jr and Scott; and daughter-in-law Robyn; in addition, siblings and in-laws, Peggy and Sonny Kerns, Jean and Dennis Barkemeyer, Andy and Imogen Mayeux, Gwen and Joey Lacoste, Lisa and Chuck Pisano, Ricky Sabathe, and Connie and Bob Arndt; as well as dozens of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
