Mary Frances (Ladd) Boyette
October 28th, 1930 - September 2nd, 2023
Mary Frances (Ladd) Boyette, 92, peacefully passed away, on September 2, 2023, at Brookdale Briargate Assisted Living Facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born October 28, 1930, in Newport, Wakulla County, Florida, daughter of Henry Palmer Ladd and Myrtle Lee Walters. Her early years were spent swimming and playing on the St. Marks River with her cousins Esther and Joe Ladd. Her family moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where she met her sweetheart, Albert Marvin Boyette. They both graduated Fort Myers High School in 1948. They married on May 22, 1949, and to that union, three sons were born: Ronald Mitchell, Glenn Marvin, and Palmer Ladd. They were all members of the First Baptist Church in Ft. Myers. Mary Frances and Marvin enjoyed traveling the world visiting all over Europe, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Egypt, and all over the United States in their van. You never knew when they would "pop in" for a visit. Mary's love of oil painting started at a young age; becoming a professional artist, continuing to paint until her death. Her inner and outer beauty clearly exposed her artistic talents that portrayed her exceptional gifts. Aside from being an artist, she was also employed at the Ft. Myers Post Office, Maas Brothers, tour guide at the Edison Home, and for many years she demonstrated her "Green Thumb" designing her magnificent gardens at their family business, Boyette Tree Farm. Mary Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Albert Marvin Boyette. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Alberta) Mitchell Boyette of Tallahassee, FL, Glenn (Frances) Marvin Boyette of Mountain City, TN, and Palmer (Julia) Ladd Boyette of Elbert, CO; grandchildren, Aron (Jill) Boyette, Lloyd Boyette, Ryan (Jazira) Boyette, Daniel Boyette, Jacqueline (Tyler) Francis, Michelle (Wesley) Walker, Katherine Boyette, Andrew (Kelsey) Boyette; and great-grandchildren, Megan, Lorraina, Hayden, Eben, Adeline, Emilia, Cainan, Kandaka, Joseph, Charlotte, and Forrest. Memorial Service, 1:00PM, Saturday, October 21, 2023, White Primitive Baptist Church, 1900 Lawhon Road, Tallahassee, FL 32305. Burial at the Woodward Family Cemetery.
