It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Charles Crum, who left this earth too soon on October 23, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1982 to parents Dale Edward Crum and Inge Dorothea Crum.

As a child Christopher always had a knack for dressing well, motocross, and had a passion for learning particularly advanced math and algebra.

Christopher enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a Patriot Missile Crewman in various locations around the world, including deployment in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar and South Korea. After thirteen years of dedicated service, Christopher retired as a Staff Sergeant E-6.

After retirement he pursued higher education at San Diego State University, earning a degree in Computer Engineering. After graduation Christopher moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to work for Northrup Gruman.

As Christopher got older his hobbies shifted to cooking/grilling/smoking meats (everyone can attest that Christopher was the most amazing cook and his meals always were filled with love), working on his car, driving fast, and playing World of Warcraft.

Christopher met the love of his life, Jessica, in January 2021. Jessica and Christopher were each other’s everything and were inseparable. They wed October 13, 2023. Together they shared a love for cooking (exploring new recipes and creating their own cookbook), playing and creating with Legos, traveling, watching movies and having game nights with friends.

Those left behind to cherish Christopher’s memory are his adoring wife, Jessica Lee (Floria) Crum, father Dale Edward Crum, mother Inge Dorothea (Rick) Crum, stepmother Carol Emanuel, siblings Steven Klaus Crum, Anthony Patrick Crum, step-siblings Joseph Carvana, Drew Caravana, paternal grandparents Walter Ray and Winona Lee Crum, paternal uncles Steven (Viki) Deal, Raymond Crum, paternal aunts Lindy (Pat) Hartig and Melody (Lance) Ewing, parents in-law John and Patricia Floria, and brother in law John (Shelby) Floria.

Christopher had the most contagious smile, he would do absolutely anything for those he loved, family was literally everything to him. To those he loved he will be remembered for his intellect, sense of humor, determination, and big heart.

A military memorial service will be held for Christopher with full retired Army honors on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 3:00PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.

Reception to follow at the Deerfield Hills Community Center, 4290 Deerfield Hills Road Colorado Springs, CO 80916.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in honor of Chris to Give An Hour, an organization that assists veterans and their families with mental health.
