Frank was born March 15, 1950 to Delbert and Wilma Pitcher and passed on May 7, 2024 of a heart attack at his home in Junction City.

His first 4 years were in Silver Lake Oregon until the family moved to the farm area outside of Junction City. He farmed first with his parents, followed by a time with his brother Bill and brother-in-law Joe. Eventually he and Cleto, along with summer help, farmed about 450 acres, growing, as he would say, “anything that would make money”; mainly corn, squash, grass seed, wheat, sugar beets, cabbage and radish for seed, and peppermint.

Frank and Betsy got married in Lake Tahoe March 21, 1987. He became an instant dad to Nick and Adam. This role seemed very natural for Frank, so a little girl, Jessie, was added in December 1988.

Frank retired once the 2018 farming season was complete. Then he started rebuilding our cabin on the McKenzie River after the Holiday Farm fire in 2020. There were some not so fun days but the final results were very impressive because Frank was very meticulous and proud of the way it turned out.

The five grandkids lent credence to his caring, nurturing personality. Mina, Maria, Josie, Frankie and Charlie. They were a large part of his retirement- He would say he’s not retired, he's a professional grandpa. Thank God they liked cowboy shows! He was a very kind and loving role model to them.

A mainstay to Frank's life was his 42 years in AA. At the J.E.S.C.O. Club he was part of many recovering lives. His guidance was valuable, maybe more than he ever realized. He was a member, mentor, a sponsor, and storyteller. And man could he tell a foul joke!

He is survived by his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren and his right-hand man Cleto.

In place of flowers, the Pitcher family would welcome a gift to the J.E.S.C.O. Club Inc., 340 Blair Blvd. Eugene, OR 97402, in memory of Frank, to support recovery in our communities.

Service will be 1pm May 19th in Monroe High School Gym with lunch following.
