I.W.F.Y.A (I Will Find You Always.)
Ann Marie Schloss, of Mountain Home, Idaho peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on May 6, 2024 at the age of 92.
Ann was born October 28, 1931, in McKeesport Pennsylvania to Joseph and Elizabeth Reali. Upon leaving home, she traveled to Boise, Idaho to begin her young adult life. There she managed a bakery at Albertsons and tried her hand at many different jobs searching for her life’s passion. It was in Boise that she met John Stanley Schloss; an unexpected rendezvous of fate that would shape the next 62 years of her life.
With John being military, Ann traveled the world along with, their son David, and daughters, Debra and Sherry. They called many places home, to include: England, Germany, Taiwan, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho, North and South Carolina, and California.
Ann, the matriarch of her family, prided herself in opening up her home to the Airmen and their families for weekend get-togethers, holidays, and offered a place of comfort and support when spouses were deployed. She was seen by everyone as the definition of grace, love, and compassion. She was the quintessential mother to everyone; a true Hero of the House.
Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life “Chief” aka “Big John” John Stanley Schloss, and her parents, Joseph Reali and Elizabeth Bianchi along with her ten siblings. Ann is survived by her son David and his husband Kevin; daughters Debra and Sherry; and son Raymond. Ann was blessed with five grandchildren: John and wife Jess, Anna and husband Agustin, Ryan and wife Jamie, Andrew, Elizabeth and husband Zacharay. Ann is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Laqiesha, Johnathon, Destiny, Sydnee, Kalepa, Abigail, Joshua, Aiden and Lilliana.

Rost Funeral Home
As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
