During World War II she worked at a civilian company which supported the war effort. When her husband retired from the Air Force they moved to Seminole, Florida. Shortly thereafter, she belonged to an exercise class known as the BB’s, a group who remained friends for more than 30 years. While residing in Seminole, she and her husband were members of the Blessed Sacrament Church. She also was a very active member of the Seminole Women’s Club, and other charitable organizations, where she gave generously of her time and energy. Joanne lost her husband of 73 years in April 2017. She continued to reside at her home in Seminole. Joanne was a cancer survivor and lived independently until she passed peacefully this September 4. She is survived by three sons, Lieutenant Colonel Orfeo (chuck) Trombetta, Jr. (USA, Retired), William Trombetta (USAF Civilian, Retired), and Christopher J. Trombetta, currently a CPA and owner of his own CPA firm located in Seminole, Florida.
