Thomas Joseph Brennan

Thomas Joseph (Tom) Brennan, Jr., 77, of Madeira Beach, Florida, passed away October 22, 2022, at Oak Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born and raised in New York, he lived most of his adult life and raised his family in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, before retiring to Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Brennan, and his sister Mary Shields. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Virginia, his sister, Dorothy Childs (Bill), and brother George Brennan (Sandy), his children Colleen Brennan, Thomas Brennan (Danielle) and Carrie Murphy (Michael), and five beautiful grandchildren that always made him smile, Ethan Brennan, Emma Brennan, Brennan Murphy, Mallory Murphy and Miranda Murphy, and wonderful nieces and nephews. Tom was very dedicated to his career as a health insurance claims consultant for Metropolitan Life and United Healthcare, where he helped to negotiate health insurance benefits packages for corporate clients, including Rockwell, International. In retirement, he loved golf, boating and spending time with family and friends. He was a long time parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo. Tom’s visitation will be Thursday, October 27 from 12:30-2:30 at Reese Funeral Home in Seminole, followed by a Mass at St. Jerome at 4 PM. Family and friends also are invited to celebrate Tom’s life at a reception on Friday, October 28 at 5 PM in the clubhouse of the Boca Ciega Point Boating Community. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Parkinson’s research or St. Jerome Church.
