Growing up he enjoyed fishing, hunting, then later snow skiing and visiting the north Georgia mountains where he later built a cabin. He was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Helen Boyd, his oldest sister Barbara, his first wife Brenda and their unborn baby boy, and his second wife Mary Beckman. He is survived by his loving daughters Michele Boyd and Allyson Ford along with his grandson Shane. He was so incredibly proud of both daughters! His girls meant the world to him!
