Mary K. Dovi
October 29th, 1910 - March 1st, 2014
Mary (Palermo) Dovi Mary (Palermo) Dovi, previously of Lawrenceville, NJ, entered the Lord's care in Seminole, Florida at age 103. Mary was a longtime resident of Trenton and Lawrenceville before moving to Florida. She was an active member of Saint Ann's Catholic Church Parish and Senior Citizens Club of Lawrenceville for many years. As a young girl she was member of the "Pep Girls Club" of North Trenton. She was a former employee of McCrory's of Trenton for 37 years and HD Lee Overalls. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph, daughter Judith Dovi Luzi, and all of her siblings: Joseph, Samuel, James, Angelo, Anna Piazza, Katherine Nero, Rose Tremont, Josephine Ianni and Roberta Nix. She is survived by her son Andrew Dovi and son in-law Richard Luzi of Florida; Grandson Richard and Granddaughter Janine Vecchiolla, of NY City; Granddaughter Gina and Grandson Matt Fritzinger, of Harrisburg, PA; Grandson Joel and Granddaughter Kelly Dovi of Annapolis, MD. Mary also has four great-grandchildren, Alaina Fritzinger; Mia, Kate and Connor Dovi and many nieces and nephews. Mary spent the last 12 years of life at Bickley Mobile Home Park, Seminole, Florida where she developed friendships with people from all over the USA and Canada many of which would stop and visit "grandma" as they walked around the park. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her friends Dee, Flo, Marie, JP, Larry, Gail and Jake. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Visitation and viewing to celebrate the life of Mary Dovi will be on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, NJ at 12:00 P.M. Mary will be laid to rest at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA, in memory of Daughter Judith Dovi Luzi or Mary and Joseph Dovi.
