January 26th, 1921 - January 15th, 2011
BARCLAY, ELIZABETH W., 89, of Largo, died on January 15, 2011, 11 days before her 90th birthday. Born in Perry, Florida, she graduated from Florida State College for Women and taught home economics, after 1958 in Pinellas County. She helped open Seminole High School in 1962 and taught there until retiring in 1986. In 1983 she was Florida Vocational Home Economics Teacher of the Year. Preceded in death by her brother and two sisters, and by her husband of 63 years, Edward S. Barclay, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Johanna L. Barclay, and by many nieces and nephews. E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole, Florida. A memorial service will take place on January 24th, 2011 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to College Fund of Pinellas County, PO Box 673, Clearwater, FL 33757.
