Virginia "Ginger" Mina 74, Passed away July 4, 2014 She was born Sept 2, 1939 in the Bronx NY to the late Harold J. and Mary E. (Dooner) Shaw. She is survived by her beloved husband Manuel of 54 years, and their three children Tara (Mina) Taylor of North Reading MA, Scott P. Mina of Bayonne NJ, Steven M. Mina of Queens, NY and her brother Steven Shaw of Aberdeen NJ, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Shaw of Chester NY. During their fifty four year marriage, she worked as a dental assistant, dance studio secretary, and spent many years as a sales manager for Museum Village in Monroe NY. Her last 15 years were spent enjoying winters in Madeira Beach Florida and summers in her family home in Washingtonville NY. Ginger was an avid reader, and enjoyed travelling, painting , and daily swims in her beloved pool. Her biggest accomplishment was being"ginger" who was always there to lend a hand, offer advice and tell it like it was. While in Florida she spent 5 years as secretary for the Madeira Norte Condominium Association Board, enjoying the politics and challenges that these associations present. She touched many lives and will always be in our hearts. During her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends. She fought a courageous battle and is at peace now. God Bless you Mom, WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. In memory of Virginia, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society
