Teresa Irene "Terry" Powers, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home in Largo Florida. Ms. Powers was born January 25, 1931 in Rochester, New York to Henry and Sophie Zurowski. She attended St. Stainislaus Kostka church school and Nazareth Academy High School in Rochester. She married and raised her family in Summerville, South Carolina; Auburn, Alabama; and Henrietta, New York, where she worked at Eastman Kodak. Ms. Powers enjoyed traveling, dancing and New Orleans jazz music. She loved St. Patrick's Day and her Auburn Tigers. She is survived by her sons Kirk (Sally) of Arlington Texas, Chris (Ray) of Montgomery Alabama and Michael of Largo Florida; granddaughter Kathryn (Patrick) of Arlington; grandson Ryan of Ft. Worth; brother Ray Zurowski of New Port Richey Florida; niece Patti (Frank) Lanzillotto and nephew Scott (Terry) Zurowski. In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Heart Association.
