Martin V. Hougaard February 28, 1925 - June 8, 2011 Martin V. Hougaard, 86, died on Thursday, June 8. He was born in Brooklyn, NY son of the late John and Emily Hougaard. Mr. Hougaard is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lillian; his children June Kirsch (William) of Pennsylvania and John (Bonnie) of Massachusetts; grand-children, Jason Hougaard of California, Christopher Hougaard of Massachusetts, Emily Pepka (Thomas) of California, and Warren, Nicholas, Jonathan and Haldan Kirsch of Pennsylvania; and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Jackson Pepka. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Warren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Hougaard was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Seabees. Mr. Hougaard retired from Ratheon/ECI. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Largo, The American Legion Post #252. He was a volunteer for Thrivent and Bay Pines VeteransHospital.
