Steven "Steve" W. Cureton
March 14th, 1950 - July 30th, 2015
Cureton, Steven W., age 65 of Seminole, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Detroit, MI, on March 14, 1950 to the late Frank and Violet (Lydle) Cureton, he married Joanna Loomis. Steven graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School in Long Island, NY and attended Odessa College, where he also competed in gymnastics. He served as a police officer for the St. Petersburg Police Department starting in patrol, then as a Detective in Economic crimes, and as a Community Police Officer. He was extremely handy and could build or repair just about anything. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brother, Ricky Cureton. Steven is survived by his wife of 31years, Joanna; Step-sons, Jeff (Karen) Bock, Rob (Teresa) Bock; Step-daughter, Christy (Greg) Bonaguide; Brother, Frank (Midge) Cureton; Sisters, Sondra (Jerry) Maggs, Marsha Wolverton; Grandchildren, Aaron and Hannah Bonaguide, Anna and Sophia Bock, and nephews, Frankie, Erin, and Robert Cureton, Jason and Steve Maggs; and a niece, Kimberly Wolverton. Memorial Service for Steve will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15th at Starkey Road Baptist Church.
