Mark R. Lewis

LEWIS, MARK R., SR. passed away October 25, 2015. Mark was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 21, 1946. Mark was admitted to practice of law in 1973 and has practiced law in Florida since 1975. In 1977 he opened his own law firm of Mark R. Lewis, P.A. and has been serving Pinellas County ever since. Mark graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Aerospace Engineering and College of Law. He practiced as a Staff Attorney for the United States Sixth Circuit of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He served as City Attorney for the City of South Pasadena and attorney for the Pinellas County Interface Coalition on Aging as well as the Suncoast Child Protection Team. He also served on the City of St. Petersburg Commission on Aging. Mark is survived by 2 sons, Mark R. Lewis, II and John C. Lewis; 1 daughter, Leslie McRoberts; 1 brother, John and 1 nephew, Mike Lewis as well as numerous cousins, friends and acquaintances. There will be a celebration of his life this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the home of his much loved companion, Linda Whitley.
