William Gregory Greg" Cook
January 12th, 1941 - August 7th, 2016
COOK, William Gregory "Greg" 75, of Indian Rocks Beach, passed away Aug. 7, 2016, while a patient at the Bay Pines VA Hospital. He was born in Rome, GA, and raised on several different military bases around the country. He graduated from Bullis Prep School in Silver Spring, MD and did undergraduate studies at Berry College in Rome, GA. Greg was a decorated U.S. Army pilot serving during the Vietnam War and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was an avid yachtsman, fisherman, and accomplished equestrian. He was a member of the distinguished Mensa high IQ society. His parents, Wilson L. and Mildred L. Cook predeceased him. Survivors include his sister, Sandra L. Talbot (Wayne) of Gulfport, his brother, Wilson L. "Speedy" Cook Jr. (Diane) of Crawfordville, FL, and his life partner of 20 years, Susan Ricker of Indian Rocks Beach.
