John Randolph Peck, 81, of Largo, Florida, died on September 28th, 2012. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 16th, 1931 and was a former resident of Warren and Roscommon, Michigan before making Largo his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the U.S. Army Band in Ft. Drum, New York, and he also performed with the Red Arrow 32nd Division American Legion Band in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in Detroit. He was predeceased by his parents, Della (Forton) and John H. Peck; sister, Eileen (Peck) Stempkowski; brothers, William and Robert Peck, and son Pete J. Peck. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Antonio) Ruvolo, Dearborn Heights, Michigan; Grandchildren, Tami Knox, Clinton Township, Michigan; Donald (Mindy) Ruvolo, Deckerville, Michigan; and Mance Ruvolo, Hendersonville, North Carolina. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and his special love Linda Peck, Traverse City, Michigan. A Committal Service with full military honors will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:15 P.M.
